About

Systems over demos.

I got into engineering through competitive programming — years of Codeforces rounds taught me to reason about correctness and complexity before writing a line of code. That habit stuck: I'm drawn to systems where getting it wrong is expensive, which is how I ended up building accounting software. Money, ledgers, GST filings — correctness isn't a nice-to-have, it's the product. Outside of work I still do CP rounds, tinker with systems projects in Go and C++, and care a lot about the craft of shipping software that real people depend on every day.

A production accounting & ERP platform built end-to-end as founding engineer at Takkada. Now used by 112 businesses, with 603K+ vouchers mirrored and 172K receipts in production. Native double-entry accounting core in PostgreSQL, filing-ready GST compliance (GSTR-1/GSTR-3B GSTN JSON export, e-invoice, e-way bill), WhatsApp Business automation, and an AI document-import pipeline — replacing Tally workflows for real businesses.

Grew from 87 → 112 businesses in five weeks (Jul–Aug 2026); 81 joined in the last 90 days.

Desktop sync layer with IPC control, connection testing, company selection, incremental export, and status monitoring.

Mined from the local PaySaathi/Takkada app, backend, admin dashboard, and loader histories.

Standalone accounting core

Backend migration arc replaced inherited table/RPC assumptions with app-native voucher families, register periods, bill-wise settlement, ageing, analytics, and financial-statement surfaces.

Voucher and compliance workflows

App and backend commits added GRN/Receipt Note, stock journals, GST return exports, e-invoice/e-way bill tables, invoice-detail columns, PDF rendering, and WhatsApp delivery paths.

Access, tenant safety, and gates

RBAC work covered voucher-type grants, restricted-member behavior, tenant-write guards, license checks, feature gates, granular permission fallbacks, and safer deployment targets.

Admin revenue operations

Admin dashboard commits added MD rate cards, usage views, assisted customer creation, wallet reconciliation, partner/dealer tier controls, onboarding caps, and production Cloudflare deployment constraints.

Tally loader reliability

Loader work covered IPC sync control, GRN writeback, export report cleanup, foreground/busy detection, resumable first sync, checkpoints, response byte ceilings, and terminal-state guarantees.

Customer-facing automation

Delivery paths included public buyer orders, payment links, WhatsApp own-number onboarding, template status trails, attached-PDF template provisioning, and polished failure messaging.

All three systems run live on free-tier hosting with self-generating traffic — first request may wake the instance (~30–60s).

DurableGo

Durable workflow engine in Go — PostgreSQL-backed queues with SKIP LOCKED claiming, monotonically increasing fencing tokens, and idempotent workflow starts under concurrency. Failure scenes are automated: workers are SIGKILLed mid-execution and the system must prove recovery and stale-completion rejection (409) through its own API.

DurableMCP

Durable execution substrate for MCP tool calls — every call is persisted before dispatch, executed under a fencing-token lease, and inspectable from Postgres through a read-only dashboard. The hosted demo feeds itself: an in-container agent submits real tool calls and periodically kills its own executor to generate genuine crash-recovery events.

PostgreSQL change-data-capture, done correctly: pgoutput decoding with TOAST awareness, at-least-once delivery with idempotent replay per source transaction, fenced LSN checkpoints. A testcontainers e2e proves ordered capture, crash-replay without loss or duplication, and standby takeover fencing; the hosted demo streams a live shop simulator's changes through signed webhooks.
